N.B.
For red/white wine, you will get 4 glasses to the bottle
For sparkling wine, you will get 5 glasses to the bottle

Drinks for the toast
Similar to the reception drinks, there is a large variety of toasting drinks available. The most popular toasting drink is normally a sweet sparkling white wine. However, if you want a less formal wedding, we will be glad to look after your special needs.

Wedding Meal

A menu may be viewed here for your perusal. The A la Carte and Table d’Hote menus are served in the Garden Restaurant at lunchtime and in the evenings.

Opening times at lunch are 12.00pm until 2.00pm and in the evening, 6.30pm until 9.00pm
We can serve the A la Carte or Table d’Hote menu for a party of up to 25 persons. Set menus are available for a party of 10 persons or more and must be requested in advance.



Buffets can be provided for any size of party and again, must be requested in advance.

If you do not require accommodation at the Garden House Hotel, we would require a deposit of £10.00 per person to reserve your wedding meal.

Table Plan Design and Place cards
For advice on suitable table layout for your size of party, please talk to our receptionists or management, who will offer a layout.

A list of your guests names and their appropriate seating positions would be required for this service.

Entertainment
Our resident DJ can be arranged at an affordable fee.

Special RequestsIf you do have any special requests, we will be glad to advise or assist with details. Champagne, flowers, chocolate, etc., can be arranged (and kept secret for a surprise) if required.

This service is payable to the Garden House Hotel.

Arriving by Rail?
The nearest rail is Carlisle, at 10 miles away. There is a bus station outside the Railway station for buses to Gretna. Alternatively a taxi will cost you pproximately £25.00.
